Hi all! Since this is going off topic, let's end it. For clarifications:
I used two _circular_ polarizers. One on the light box and on on the lens. The stress in the plastic IS visible and id does not matter how you turn the polarizer. It just changes (beautifully, if I may add) colours. The coulour of the bottom polarizer changes though from dark grey to amber. Whether I had problems with polarized light or the subject itself, only time will tell. :) I will do some more tests and then write an email explaining.
