Just to add to the mail of Evrim:
I received my Zenitar Fisheye last week (thanks again Pawel!) and during
the weekend I tried it in several situations.
- it *DOES work with the EOS30... but It needs a lot of compensation,
though. I put the -30 and the -50 side by side on the same scene and
then I started switching the lens from one to the other at different
f/stops. The cameras had the same reading when the ISO was set with a
difference of 2.2/3 stops. In other words, to shoot EIR at EI320 in the
EOS30 I set the ISO to 50.
With an exposure latiture of barely 1/2 stop, EIR can't lie. The
first exposure was correct in most bracketed shots except in tricky
lighting situations (that happen more often than you know at 16mm given
that it includes dark ground, light skies, black coats and light posts
in the same frame)
- It can focus with a 12mm extension tube. Working distance is barely
(+/-) 2cm. Given that the lens is so compact, I could put in *inside*
some flowers to have a all-arround view. Cool.
This lens is great and I could say that you get more than you paid for.
I still have to learn the 'wide vision' to make the most of it, for
sure.
