I'd not normally burden the list with such an OT issue but am sure someone can make this easy for me, and traffic is light at present....
I scan and sell fairly large numbers of images on my website, often scanning up to 40 - 50 prints on the flatbed then putting them on the site. It has come to my attention that quite a few people are simply downloading the file and printing low quality images at home, rather than ordering through me. I'm looking at the quickest way I can incorporate text, or other, in the image to slow them down. It has to be fast though, I don't have time to open every one in PS to add a layer, flatten, etc. I usually just scan at 100dpi, give a quick crop in the scan software and then save direct to the web folder. I have heard of putting a transparent gif over the top of each but it also sounds fairly time consuming. Anyone got any good ideas for a fast and effective method of achieving some theft protection?
