I look at couple places... ebay, keh, adorama, to determine how much it is worth. PLus Chip here is also informed about prices, so you might ask him (Chip, it's always very nice to read your emails, btw). Fyi, I paid ~$590 for my lens. It had the tripod collar and hood, cosmetically a condition 7, optically 9+. I am very happy. Check out prophotosupply.com, here is Oregon.
