I bought and shot a 100 foot roll of it a few years ago, and it was
alright film.  It is really the same thing as Fuji Astia, which can be
seen in fuji's tech guide, which is a low saturation, fairly low
contrast film (much lower color than either velvia or provia).  The
response curves are exactly alike for the MS and astia.  You do, indeed,
get a big grain increase, at least above 200.  It is basically like push
processing any other film, though with less color trouble (probably
because of the low saturation of it).

Great stuff for portraits and such, and probably not bad for wildlife
where oversaturation makes the shots look funny.  Just don't expect
saturated color if you shoot landscapes or something like that.
