I got my 10D today to replace my D30. After placing my 75-300 IS USM-lense, a fully loaded battery and an empty CFcard, it started with problems! I tried to make my first test-photograph but instead I got a ERR99-message on the display. Removal and reinstalling the battery didn't help. The lense wasn't incompatible (no Sigma!).
Trial and error brought the solution. Turning the Mode Dial helped! Eevrything works fine since! The explanation for this ERR99?????
