Very definitely I have both of these (1.4x MkI & 300 f4L) and they work together like a glove. Canon's TCs work with the following lenses (taken from EOS Magazine latest Canon listing) 70-200 f2.8L 70-200 f4L 100-400 L and any fixed focal length L or DO lens from 135 upwards - inclusive of the 135 f2L, but not the 135 f2.8 SF I also carry a slim Tamron 1.4x extender which fits on my other lenses, and has proven quite useful - there's no vignetting when used on my 10D, and just slight problems on my full frame EOS3.
