Every lens would require a different sensor. Super telephoto lenses don't bend the light really. I tried the Canon EOS 1Ds with 3 suspicius lenses: Sigma 14mm/3.5 (the old one) Sigma 15mm/2.8 Full Frame Fisheye Sigma 8mm/4.0 Circular Fisheye Well the corners are a little darker, however weren't they with analog as well? The picture quality with these less than optimal lenses is much better than expected. This might have something to do with bigger pixels on the 1Ds than on the D60, 10D, 300D. The latter have a sensor that has just 39% ( 1/(1.6*1.6) ) the size of the 1Ds' but some 54% (6/11) of the pixels.
