above selectively snipped -------------------------- Tough. The camera does what it "says on the tin". Get yourself a remote terminal, or better, for your really long exposures, make one from the information in the link here: http://www.camerahacker.com/RS60-E3_pin-out/pin-out.html Bear in mind that if you move to the 10D, the remote terminal (N3 type) is proprietary to Canon, and so you're locked in to really expensive items - but they're nicely made.
