Hi Peter,

I had to have my Sigma 17-35 EX HSM rechipped when I bought my 10D. Sigma UK
said that Canon had changed the voltage necessary to control the aperture
setting.
My older Sigma 500 f7.2 APO only works at full aperture on my 10D - if I set a
smaller aperture I get the "ERR 99" message - and it's too old to be fixed.
Both lenses were fine on my older Canon bodies including the EOS3, 50E & 10.
The 17-35 is now performing better (after getting my 10D's AF calibrated) than
earlier, and the well known blur on the right-hand side seems to have
disappeared.
