aybe if they upgrade to a $10,000 projector.. :) then it may match my
$200 slide projector?

No, if projecting slides in a dark room is your thing, then stick with film.

We need to balance our wants vs needs. Sure I'd like to posess a top of
the line digital projector and I can throw out all my slides, but at what
cost? As a non-pro, spending $10,000 on a projector which will depreciate
pretty fast is not justifiable and my wife will divorce me :) And if I can
get the same (or better) results at 1/50th the cost, then we put up with
minor inconveniences like darkening the room... plus my wife won't kill
me.
