Well, it's pretty big, it's pretty heavy, and it's pretty sharp. AF definitely falls below Canon USM speed. The MF feature is quite strange. But, using MF, the big rubber focus ring is great.
Overall, I think I like it. Even though I don't quite understand why such a short zoom range has to be so long and heavy. F2.8 is nice yes, but you really have to watch your focus point carefully. No room for error at that aperture. No noticeable off colour rendition. Definitely really soft in corners wide open. It's fun to get a different lens.
