Hi Jim, I'll be interested to see your take on the 28-135 when you get it. I recall that before you had your 100-400L you used to use a 75-300, sometimes with a tele-converter. You defended that lens's capabilities against all comers (and some of the images you took with it were great shots too), until you bit the bullet with your 100-400. Same with your old EOS 10 (film) body and now your 10D. I know you like stirring the pot, so here's another hand on the spoon :) I'll not only be interested to see if you like the 28-135, but if in a few months (or so) end up with a 24/28-70L somewhere along the way :) And no, I don't have one, or plan on getting one... Me, I'm still waiting for Canon to either: replace the 28-135 with a 24 (or 21!)-105/120/135 or make a 1.3x crop digital SLR *I* can afford, so that my lenses have a field of view more like the 35mm body I bought many of them for... Then I might use my 28-135 more than I do now (it used to be my standard 35mm lens before the 1.6x crop shifted me to the 16-35L). What with the Olympics and Photokina, I won't have to wait too long to see if they'll do so in thime for Christmas! Cheers Gary ===== Gravity...It's Not Just a Good Idea.
