Same for me, + the BG-E 2 grip with it. Body only, since I have a couple of EF-lenses (24-85 USM, 17-35 2.8L, 50 1.8 and 75-300 IS USM) already for my Elan IIe. I though of buying in the US instead of Germany, however I don't want to hassle with warranty problems, when I buy (e.g. from B&H) in the US. There is always a chance that the earlies series exhibits some problems, so I hope to get better support when buying from a domestic dealer. Since I like my 24-85 very much for landscape I will look definitely into buying the upcoming 10-22 EF-S, if quality will match it's price. Otherwise I would most probably miss the 20-24mm range with the current lense set. I found out that I did not use the 17-20mm much with the L zoom on my Elan IIe. However I think that this (although being a L-class zoom) might be one of the weaker lenses for the digital body. Anybody got experience with this lense on the D60 or the 10D? > The only downside I can see to it is the 6 frame > buffer limit for RAW files but, frankly, I can't see > that impacting me very often. I definitely don't consider this being a limitation for me (don't do much sports / action up to now). > The key elements in my decision to upgrade are (in > order of importance, I think): Resorted in the order of my priorities: - improved servo AF (especially with fast lenses--anyone got a 300 2.8 for sale <g> or a 70-200 2.8 (IS / non-IS) <bg> - lower noise at high ISOs - EFS 10-22mm lens (if performance is what I hope) - instant on - E-TTL II -9 way multi controller - 5 fps Other, but less important factors (in no particular order): - faster write speeds - shorter shutter lag & mirror blackout - USB 2.0 - better pop-up flash - smaller, lighter - 8.2 MP resolution(6 MP really is adequate for most of what I do, but the higher resolution will make for better cropped results) - EFS 17-85 lens (but I wish it were a stop faster) - .cr2 raw format and improved software Things I wish it had: - an ISO display in the viewfinder or on the LCD - true spot meter - ECF - larger, brighter viewfinder - better weather sealing Best regards Thomas * **** ******* *********************************************************** * For list instructions, including unsubscribe, see: * http://www.a1.nl/phomepag/markerink/eos_list.htm ***********************************************************
