Hi Sarbjit,

Lexar is a good brand and their prices are now closer
to the reduced prices from others like Sandisk. Last
time I checked a 2GB Sandisk Ultra II was about the
same price. Either would be fine.

I couldn't recommend the microdrives over the solid
state CF cards. Moving parts equates to more potential
problems and most would agree that CF is more reliable
than microdrives.

I use a few 1gb cards, plus a 2gb Sandisk (the
standard one, not the fast Ultra II one - I don't
often need 5ps for landscapes) in my 20D and usually
get around 80+ images on a 1gb card, but then I use
the Raw+Jpeg option, so I get 2 files for every shot
(some level of redundancy/backup).

I just checked a full 1gb CF card and had 82 shots.
The raw files varied in size from 7.3mb to 10.7mb, but
averaged 8.3mb. At that rate you could expect around
240 Raw files on a 2GB card (they are 2000mb not
2096mb).

Of course jpeg only fits many more files, but I
normally choose to shoot raw mode for it's
flexibility.

Cheers
Gary
