As Warren points out, the 10D's LCD is known to be appear brighter than the
actual pictures are.  I suspect that you can turn down the brightness of the
LCD somewhat to compensate.  The 20D's LCD is a noticeable improvement in
this area (and according to this first thread, the D30 and maybe D60 did
not possess the same problem).  I can't recall where I read about the
improvement thereof on the 20D, but here are a couple related links.
