The Spyder did do a good job for me to calibrate my monitor. I have no experience with the Spyder2Pro. If you plan to print your work yourself you will also need to calibrate your printer. I had very good experience with the EyeOne for doing this. Alternatively, you can buy profiles for certain printer and paper combinations.
