Hi,

To get my hands on an EF 50 f1.8 Mk I at a reasonable price, I've just
bought an EOS620 with the Mk I lens fitted to it.
There are two buttons below the 620's lens release button. Can anyone
explain what the button marked "M" does? The unmarked button is a
Depth-of-Field stop down button.
I've checked the Hove Foto guide to the EOS600/630, and the "eosdoc"
website; and have so far drawn a blank on this early model.
Was it to allow manual touch up focus to early USM lenses?

Many thanks and Season's Greetings
