I'm afraid that Canon figured the consumer market wasn't there for a super wide angle that would be made for FF cameras . The EF-S makes it much easier to create a lens. A zoom in that range that would work well for a pro on a FF camera would be stupid expensive, if it is possible at all. Too bad. I have a Canon 16-35 and it is acceptable, but far from tack sharp wide open.


Too bad Canon chose to go the EF-S route with the 10-22mm f/3.5-4.5 USM!
