Generally the best price performance ratio is to be found in the Sandisk UltraII cards. Among the least expensive of the fastest; not the _very_ fastest, but you're not likely to notice the difference. 1Gb cards tend to be very slightly faster than the larger cards. Local stores have the 1Gb Ultra II for $105Cdn, so that's what I got recently. I also have Sandisk Extreme and the latest Lexar 80x, and there is not noticeable difference.
