The "Hoodman" model comes with a built-in eyepiece which replaces the "standard eyepiece", that's how it stays secured to the camera. I don't think one of these would work with an eyepiece extender in place.

Hi

My Wife bought something similar for her Rebel XT. I thought it was a gimmick at first, but it does seem to be useful as long as you don't want to check the LCD after each shot. The product she bought was made by "Hoodman", doesn't cover the buttons (just LCD and viewfinder) and cost $50 (Cdn).

Gimmick or useful?
