I wonder, the coatings on the lens affect light flare bouncing around
and affecting the result. If you only shoot film, it does not reflect as
much as a digital sensor. The digital sensor reflecting light back
to the lens elements and then back to the sensor means some light
in the scene may affect color. This is pure conjecture on my part, but
I am wondering if the color cast issue is more pronounced with DSLR
than film, as the DSLR is more sensitive to the coatings on the lenses
simply because the sensor is more reflective than film.
