Hi everyone,

Here you have the meeting notes captured during our planning session
today. Other decisions were captured directly in the Project Plan, now
available in this CVS location:
http://dev.eclipse.org/viewcvs/index.cgi/org.eclipse.epf/design/content_dev_plans/EPF15ContentProjectPlan.rtf?root=Technology_Project&view=co

Those who couldn't attend the call today, please send feedback and ideas
by email to this group.

EPF Content Planning Session

Participants:

Bjorn Gustafsson
Ken Klyne
Jim Ruehlin
Bruce MacIsaac
David Hadley
Mark Dickson
Kim Werner
Ricardo Balduino

Notes:

- What version number to use for next content release? Practice Library
1.0 (because it's the first version) or Practice Library 1.5 (to tie with
EPFC version)? It looks participants prefer 1.5 better, because it ties to
EPFC.
- What name to give to the Practice Library? EPF Practice Library or Open
Practice Library? We want to convey the message that various methods can
be created/published from this library.
- overall naming convention: EPF project includes EPF Composer, Practice
Library, other processes and Method Authoring Method guidelines (MAM).
Should we separate OpenUP, DSDM and ABRD from the "OpenUP family"? It
would make easier to evolve them separately. If OpenUP has a different
version number on this release (because it will be based on the Practice
Library), then these other dependent methods should also be refactored. If
they are not, OpenUP 1.0 will still be available for those interested.
- a few people will discuss the version numbering and bring some ideas to
the whole group
        - David Hadley
        - Mark Dickson
        - Jim Ruehlin
- In order to have a more effective iteration planning, each practice
owner is expected to put issues in Bugzilla. Bugzilla should contain what
is missing in each practice (1 Bugzilla entry or more), so practice owners
can discuss with people all the pages that need to be written
- Mark will review Bugzilla issues on architecture this week, and start
separate weekly calls
- Bjorn, Ricardo and Ana to schedule weekly calls (likely next week when
Ana is back)
- Mark Dickson and Jim Ruehlin also interested in evolutionary design,
they will contact Kim Werner
- Ricardo to send note to Chris, Steve and Ana asking about their
commitments/plans for April iteration
- Method Authoring guidelines to be sent all committers/contributors. They
can send a note to Ricardo Balduino requesting the guidelines.
- Bruce suggested that we put a beta version of the library out in early
May and ask for feedback (OpenUP users) in 2-3 weeks thereafter
- Next week - Method Authoring feedback, comments and questions from
committers/contributors, and continue getting feedback on release plan
from those who couldn't attend today
