Hi, (please keep me CC: since I'm not on the list)
Before opening a bug, I prefer discussing it on the list to know if this is "won't fix". In http://mail.gnome.org/archives/epiphany-list/2004-September/msg00047.html: > It seems like Firefox has support for autocompletion of form text > fields. Is this a Gecko feature, or a Firefox specific extension? > Mozilla doesn't support this, AFAICT. This is the only blocker for me adopting epiphany on the long term. I always used it for a couple of months, and then have gone back because of this to ff a couple of times (well it's already 3 years since the first bug report :P). After having browsed the mozilla source code I think the interface is located in satchel. But, pondering mozilla's bugzilla. I got those: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=380963 https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=239380 They say you can not give a provider for the form contents, so perhaps this is a problem if epiphany stores its own form data ... I do not know how it works :) The main question is: is the satchel API enough at least? (if it is the correct one). That would mean special casing for ff though, I don't know if this okay with epiphany code. thanks, --Stef _______________________________________________ epiphany-list mailing list [email protected] http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/epiphany-list
