Ubuntu 8.04 will also be shipping ephy 2.22, and that's an LTS release, so
at least you're not alone - support for the will theoretically be provided
within Ubuntu for three years (although that's security fixes and major
bugs, not pet annoyances).  Curious to see where things go myself...
