I added it to the server config file in the global 
parameter part, but it had no effect (btw I was wrong: the problem 
occurred in the local version, too).

After updating to revision 770 I tried a version with DYNAMIC_NEAR_FAR
And it works well. Have you fixed the problem with DYNAMIC_NEAR_FAR?
