Hi Stefan,
hope you are not getting bored, but I have a problem with the
swapbarrier.
If I switch it on the application freezes. One node terminates due
to a
violated assert (node1.log), the other node freezes (gdb.log attached)
I like the program name - hopefully you can share some code at
some point. :)
The hang is not a really swapbarrier problem, but rather a
connectivity problem. Process 23204 seems to run on atlas79,
listening on [127.0.1.1]:43661 - not really a reachable
address. The same happens on all other nodes, so they can't
reach each other (for the swapbarrier). So process 23204 bails
out when it can't reach 'atlas51:51120'.
I've had exactly the same issue yesterday, it seems that Ubuntu
gives the hostname a private IP in the hosts file, rather than
a public one.
I've solved the problem by putting node0..N into all hosts files
with the public IPs, and using node0..N in the config. Maybe
using the FQDN is enough as well.
HTH,
Stefan.
