Thanks for all your help Stefan. At this stage, it would appear that I cannot use RapidMind with Equalizer for unknown reasons. However, it would be very useful to do so. I would like to propose the following: I will clean up the RapidMind part of the program (simplify it), and I could send it to you. I would be immensely grateful if somebody in the group could try their hand at making this work. You can download RapidMind for free to experiement with it. (it is not opensource or free though).
Indeed, I do have the graphics context (not the problem). A texture does get transferred between GPU and CPU using RapidMind, but an error quickly appears. I no longer have the time to spin my wheels on this, so I am writing some OPenGL classes to do what I want in the Equalizer context. This is really too bad!!! :-) Thanks again.
