         I did give it a go. Firstly I am new to trading & I only trade on
the ASX.  That link you gave me took me to stocks in the Canadian &
US markets.


        I would certainly love to be able to do scanning in my MetaStock the
way it is done in Stockcharts.


        I will continue on my trek to hunt for Ichimoku & Candle pattern
formulas to enter my MetaStock.

          I don't have a contribution on the Metastock platform, but one of
the traders I follow and occasionally subscribe to, recommends this
free and easy tool:  Go to www . stockcharts . com (remove spaces, of
course) home page. Look down the right hand side for the menus. Find
Additional Tools and select Predefined Scan Results. Under the broad
heading of Candlestick Patterns you will find Ichimoku Patterns.  
View a chart, change the overlays to Ichimoku full and click update.
 This should keep you going until you find the Metastock solution.
