Glen,
1. I heard that this was a problem too. But the fact is they are readily
available. The unshielded plug Champion M41E is available from Aircraft
Spruce where I got mine.
2. That's what the cups are for. They shield the complete plug and wire
connection.
3. I got mine from Fresno Airparts Co. (great people and low cost as
airparts go) 559-237-4863.
4. I have Slick mags and the harness can be gotten from many mag suppliers
(Slick no. M1780).
5. Sorry, I and a friend (he has the lathe) did mine. It is a little hard
to
find the die as it is 5/8-24 thread. But they are out there from big tool
suppliers.
6. Mine is a "Little Beautiful Doll" and she doesn't have bumps. Some have
them and some don't (I'll leave it at that).

Rich

A couple of more questions, if you don't mind.

1. Are the shorter plugs readily available?

2. I heard that the shorter plugs may cause noise on the radios...is this
true?

3. Are the "Ercoupe Cups" readily available?

4. Where can I buy the "newer type screw-on harness"

5. Is there a shop you can recommend to do the machine work?

6. Is it true that the planes with the bumps are girls?

Thanks.
