You might double check the wings.  Though they may look like metal, they
may be fabric with a very good finish – my wings were often mistaken for
metal.



Probably they are metalized which is a shame, especially on a 415-C.
Metalizing the wings costs 38-40 lb. for the pair and with a gross weight
of 1260 lb., that’s a lot.  You could lighten it in all other ways, remove
instruments, upholstery side walls, smaller battery and such to get a
workable useful load for Sport Pilot flying.  Somewhen down the road, I’d
want to swap wings for fabric wings.
