I have been interested in aviation sense my mom was a secretary at the " OLD Oakland Airport " I was never real close to an airport to go visit as a kid. When I moved to Selma Ca. at the ripe age of 14 we moved next to a crop duster strip. Waking up at 5:30 am to the sound of a Stearman and then an AGCAT flying 100' over the house. :-) After a year of living next to the strip I was hired as a flagger and spent 2 years working for them.. But it took me until last years trip with my Uncle Wayne Woollard to Mecca ( Oshkosh ) in his 1966 Aircoupe to make me want to get my ticket. I now have 30 hours of flight training and am hoping to take my written within the month! Nothing like a trip to Oshkosh to get you off the fence, eh?
