As always, Caveat Emptor. It is my strong impression
(and I've been known to be wrong once) that the O-200 STC requires a gross
weight increase to the airframe. The gross weight increase would bring the
C model up to a D model, taking it out of the Sport Pilot catagory. If the
mechanic did not properly complete the paperwork change, one must wonder
what else may have been overlooked.
But, I would really love to have an O-200 in a Coupe.
Makes t/o's on those hot Texas days much easier to deal with.
