Larry The coupe is a wonderful airplane, but a flying career is a lifetime and things do change. When I was training in a Cessna 150 I never dreamed I'd be flying serious IFR in a 7 place twin. When I was flying that plane I never dreamed I'd own an ercoupe some day and only fly vfr. You just never know. Your ticket is an open door to the entire world of aviation. Its a whole world of experiences. You are in study and learn mode now. Go ahead and get the full ticket.
