Doc is correct. I don’t have my books with me
but this is what I remember:
The manual does in fact indicate that the wing tank to fuel
pump valve be wired open. The manual continues by specifying the type
(brass, I think) and gauge of wire to be used. It even explains the
reason for the type and size wire. The reason for wiring it open is to
prevent inadvertent closing, the reason for the thin brass wire is to allow the
wire to be broken easily if the valve needed to be closed.
