I need a rebuilt starter apapter for a pull-type
continental starter.

I have just finished the rebuild on my c90 and the shop had to replace the starter gear....it had a missing tooth, and the starter adapter is shot.

Given the high cost of the gear (i think it was 800 used) I am a bit concerned about getting the best
adapter I can. The though of that thing taking another
chunk out of my starter gear, or it coming apart inside
my newly rebuilt engine, is a little worrisome.

I see most of the gears seem to come from Niagra Air Parts, which is actually the american arm of a Canadian shop that seems to rebuild the gears.

I was just wondering what advice you "listers" have on this topic, as I have rarely seen any mention of this.
