Nick, A lot of coupes I've seen do not have a perfect under belly skin. hard drop in landings my have contributed to the wrinkle. double check for corrosion while in there.Your A&P may be a perfectionist or looking for a spar replacement that will pay tuition for one of his kids check that out too dennis 99564 in ILL

Hi all
This would be a question to all the A&P guys who are on the list. My
Coupe is now ready for annual and the new A&P that is at the airport
where my plane is kept say that because I have a wrinkle on the belly
skin of my coupe I need to replace the entire belly skin to satisfy the
current spar corrosion AD. He has already cut the inspection hole and
all looks good. he say that all damage to the center section needs to be
addressed but I feel that There is no corrosion problem with the skin,
it just has a wrinkle ahead of the main spar. Am I out of line thinking
that I has nothing to do with corrosion ?? should I just replace the
skin?? Any opinion would we welcome and greatly appreciated.
Thanks All

P.S. I do have picture of the wrinkle in the skin if any one is
interested in seeing??
