OK, so I THINK I'm starting to understand. Somebody tell me how far off I really am: In order to get me and the airplane certified, and have some level of redundancy, I COULD: 1. install (2) Narco 122's with the built in localizer, glideslope, and markers. 2. Learn how to use them. 3. Add the heated pitot This would get me down in most airports I frequent, as they're ILS. I don't HAVE to install an ADF, GPS, etc, right? What I'd like to do is go reasonably minimum to get started, and as prices come down/features improve, (and I save some $), install the GPS later. I'd rather not put in a soon to be obsolete thing like an ADF unless I have to.
