Merry Christmas to all you coupe owners and lovers.
Thanks to you who responded to my seeping header tank dilemma. Just to bring you
up to date, i drilled out all rivets, removed sloshing compound and all sealant,
man what a long and frustrating job! Yesterday a couple friends and i with
the help of that wonderful sticky smelly stuff began putting the tank back
together. All was going great , we had riveted the filler neck, and all fittings
in their proper place, sealed and riveted the top seam. Next came the front end
plate. Now the back plate, Woops don't think we have enough pro-seal! Work
session over. To day i ordered some more pro-seal in the 2 1/2 ounce size. Next
week we will finish the sealing and riveting. The fix we used to repair the bad
section of the rear lower right side of back plate was to cut out the bad
section and reform a new pcs which will be pro-sealed and riveted in place My A.
I. Approved this procedure Ill keep you posted.
