If its an Alon A2A I don't think it needs anything, in my book it is the
best of all the Aircoupes and I would never consider one without pedals,
mine has modern instruments, VHF/VOR/ILS, panel mounted GPS which is
terrific, 90lbs baggage, 1450 mtwa cruises at 115mph indicated on 21
litres an hour (OK you know how to convert this, don't you). A great
airplane, Allen and Higdon really improved on Fred's design, the lowered
cabin sides give better vis and it has a proper panel which will take a
full set of instruments and radios. I have been flying Aircoupes since
1961, owned an Alon A2 for twenty years, then a Mooney Cadet for five
years, now the A2A since 1997 to date. I hope to be at the annual
convention in Daytona in it so long as I can make the 3,000 nm mile flight
from Seattle before end of June, see you all then
