Fred Weick told us and also told me personally, that he expected that HALF of Coupes would be sold WITH pedals. He considered pedals to be a valid part of Coupe design. Having said that, I think his personal Coupe had NO pedals. I do prefer the Alon pedal linkage where the pedals steer the nose wheel for one reason only. On REALLY cross-windy days, you can turn the ailerons into the wind AFTER touchdown to prevent wing lifting. If the tail is at the right height on the ground, the need to turn the ailerons into the wind after touchdown isn't that great. With that kit, though, I found that when the wind was greater than 15 mph direct cross, I'd level the wings and land in a crab like a Coupe.
