Hi All,
My project 415-D (Built as 415-CD) had the rib
corrosion as well as a corroded away area in the left
side aft spar! The spar corrosion was just outboard
the fuselage frame that is rivited to the spar. I did
replace the spar. All the trailing edge ribs had
corrosion to some extent. I had an extra center
section and managed to salvage enough good ribs to
repair both the left and right sides...right aft spar
was OK.

By the way, I was probably one of the first to bring
the front spar (beam) cap corrosion to the attention
of the Coupe comunity. I had to make a repair for a
crack in the lower spar cap flange on the front
spar...the 337 for that repair was published in "Coupe
Capers" several years ago.

By the way, I acquired the aircraft as damaged in a
landing accident. The accident was minor with no
injuries and probably was a good thing since the
aircaraft was grounded as a result thereof and the
corrosion was discovered while making repairs to the
airframe.

Be safe guys,
John
