Jim;       The taxes are different in each state. When I lived in KY, they

charged a 3% hull value tax every year. So I based the airplane in
Indiana, 
which did not charge any tax. VA charged sales tax as well as an annual 
license fee. I believe the sales tax was a one time charge which equaled
the 
current sales tax rate. The annual license fee was a flat $15. 
       FL charges sales tax (6%) on the purchase price, but if you have
owned 
your airplane over 5 years when you move to FL they waive the tax. There
are 
no annual fees.
       I have found the Coupe insurance to be very reasonable, when it is 
added to the policy I have with AIG on my Bonanza. It costs only about
$300 
to have $20K hull and a million liability with $5000 medical for
passengers.
