Don't forget to also look for signs of mouse urine. If corrosion hasn't started yet then washing the urine off will help prevent it. If you leave the dried urine it is a GURANTEE of future corrosion. Just be sure to also dry everything thoroughly. Applying a good corrosion preventative might be a good idea afterwards, I know that they've discussed several in this group before.
