I see. Pete.
Why don't you weight the plane then after painting to see the real values?
Then you won't have to do some calculations with percentages and the like.
As for the original paint scheme, it is reported in the article "Pilots Report...3-control Ercoupe" from 1950 Skyways Magazine" ,

see Page 3. It covers the Club-Air , which I understand is the 415-G.
Two tone blue and two tone green were standard.

Hartmut, the only reason I brought it up, is the C of G calcs. If memory serves me right, any weight change that results in 1/2 of 1% of the weight of the aircraft necessitates recalculating the C of G. In the case of the paint, there would be no particular "moment" to go by so that would mean weighing the aircraft to obtain the data. 1/2 of 1% on 850 pounds is 4.25 pounds, surely the paint would weigh more than that, perhaps not and maybe I have the data incorrect, I am just going by memory, I don't have the books here at work. 850 Pounds for a 415-G ??? I doubt it.

I just recently weighted my paintless (all polished metal except the belly and the underside of the wings) and found it to be 920 pound heavy, tanks empty.

That plane has no gyros, except the T&B and standard instrumentation, plus Nav/com and transponder.
With full tanks and two peole  I am already over gross.
I wonder how much weight paint really adds.
