[COUPERS-FLYIN] Dumb Engine Question from non-mechanic-type...

----[Please read http://ercoupers.com/disclaimer.htm before following any advice in this forum.]---- Hey guys & gals,   I have a C-85  engine in my 'coupe.  It only has about 500 hours SMOH, but that work was done in 1978 and the engine sat for a long time without running.  I use about a quart of oil every 3 hours +/-.   I am beginning to have what I think is a 'sticking valve' problem- the engine runs rough on occasion- kind of like it is only developing horsies in 3 cylinders.   My buddy is buying a coupe that runs good but has low compression in two cylinders.  Between us I think we are looking at some repair work...   The question:    Could someone enlighten me as to what is typically done during a 'top' overhaul?
