The switch on the panel cuts off power to the "arm" lead on the voltage regulator- I know that. It doesn't appear that the switch on the master (in luggage compartment) cuts out the field though since it is always grounded no matter what position the switch is in. I would imagine that if it cut the ground to the field then it would be ungrounded when the swith was off, right??   In any event I still can't figure out why my generator isn't charging. 1. Generator works off the plane 2) field has been flashed correctly (gen works off plane) 3. voltage regulator works off the plane according to the shop I took it in to   What else to check? Sounds like you now have 2 generator switches- the question is are they both wired to the generator field?? ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ These wires cut off the generators F-lead which goes to the regulator. So it's basically taking the sources of electricity off when you take out the master ( this is handy in cases of electrical fires and the like ) Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
