Do any Coupe owners plan to fly to Daytona Beach in Mid June for the Ercoupe National Convention? At least two of us, from Missouri and Arkansas, are making plans to fly our coupes, leaving Wed morning, June 18, and starting back Early Sun morning on June 22. We hope to make it in one day, weather permitting. Let me know if you plan to go, are interested in going, or if you just want to go but don't think you can. A gaggle is always more fun. The tentative route from Springfield is: SGF 240 (statute) miles to MO4, Covington, Tn, Covington MU airport, stop for fuel MO4 250 miles to SCD, Sylacauga, Al, Merkel Fld, stop for fuel SCD 86 miles to PIM, Pine Mountain, Ga, Callaway GAR airport, 86 miles, a waypoint only PIM 151 miles to DQH, Douglas Ga, Douglas Municipal airport, stop for fuel. (SCD to PIM to DQH is 237 miles) DQH 192 miles to DAB, Daytona Beach. Let me know if you have any interest in meeting up at one of the planned fuel stops. Otherwise we can keep in contact on 122.75.
