Subject: RE: [COUPERS-FLYIN] floor carpet attach ideas

I use screw in button fasteners into the floorboard and buttons in the carpet. any boat canvas shop can supply the screw fasteners .
screw in the fasteners to your floor board, lay your carpet over them and mark the locations, then take the carpet into the canvas shop and have them press the buttons in the locations you marked, (takes a special tool).
also places like West Marine has these items. Once carpet is snapped in place, it stays put.

What clever ideas do you all have for attaching the floor carpet?  I'm

getting tired of it being wrinkled under my feet.   The carpet currently goes across the floor and up the sides underneath the side panels and also goes up the front portion and covers the wood (on the firewall).

Perhaps strips of Velcro?  Maybe just a few strips/lines of glue (like silicon calk or maybe hot glue) that would have to be reapplied when the carpet was pulled up?  Mechanical fasteners?  What's commonly used?

Thanks!

Stan
