Hi Dwight.

It's not a terribly hard job. The worst part is supporting the plane
while it's legs are off. <G>

I have done this job on several Coupes S/N 813 and up. Someone else will
have to
discuss an early Coupe since I've never had one apart.

Be prepared to ream the new bushings. One inch comes to mind, an
adjustable
hand
reamer works well. You'll need the tooling to press the old bushings out
and
the new in.
Commercial tools are available for this.

Be careful when removing or working around the hollow bolt that holds the
whole
knee together. There is a pin that prevents the hollow bolt from turning.
If
this breaks
off flush it can be a real beast to get out without damaging the aluminum
gear leg.

Skyport used to sell a kit of everything you'll need.

Good luck.
